When our D&D group met two weeks ago, I made several mistakes. Each compounding the last. I apologize for all of those mistakes and will now make amends. (1) First of all the game started about 3 hours late... because two players were late and one of them showed up without a character (2). The evening culminated with my failure as a DM in not connecting the two seperated halves of the party(3). This separation gave my Monsters an unfair advantage (4). I also mistakenly used medium sized minis to mis-represent my Large Dire Wolves (5).
1) So from now on the game will start on time. We will not wait for missing players.
2) From now on, no character generation will occur during game time unless all players decide to forgo the night's game session.
3) I will unite the party at the begining of this week's session and...
4) We will replay the battle on the Airship Wharf using...
5) Large counters to represent my Large Dire Wolves.
Please understand the reason I am doing this. I made errors as a DM and will fix them by giving the Party a fair chance to fight this challenging (1500 XP Level 6 encounter).
If you fight as a team, you will survive. All of you are experienced gamers and half of you are also experienced DM's. The battle will be a challenge but not impossible.
See you Sunday night.
